I found a dropped domain that has link from PR 5 BBC page .It has only 2 links[ As per Ahrefs] no other super duper metrics other than this BBC link.

I would like to know how much is this domain worth?. I have few more similar dropped domains that has links from PR 2 and 3 pages from CNN, BBC and The Guardian.

Put it through Moz and check the PA/DA. That will give you a sense of how much juice is flowing to that site, which you can then use to judge the value more accurately.

Thank you. The PA DA are about 20 and 10 respectively. But the it has a link on PR 5 BBC page which is also Do-follow.I would just like to know the approximate price that I can offer .

Hmm, I'm not too familiar with domain pricing, but maybe somewhere around $120? Hopefully someone can give a more accurate quote, sorry.

I'd say just put it to auction and see what people offer. Some people might value it higher than it really is just because it has a BBC link.

Pretty good backlinks, I would say. Sorry, can't give you an idea regarding the valuation of the domain.

Yes... Good backlinks, but double check its traffic... If you have even PR9, but 10k per month, it's not worth thousands of dollars... I would check also traffic sources, other backlinks, Google ranking (also OTHER SE's rankings)... Don't just buy a website which could be de-indexed already! Think about WHY is his webmaster selling it then! ;)

The chances are good that BBC link will disappear once their webmaster (or someone at BBC tech) discovers that it no longer leads to the original content that they linked to.

Agree with Jim4767. It is a bad idea to buy the domain if it only has one or two high authority links. You are betting your money on something that's completely out of your control and this domain will become worthless if this link disappears. You main problem is Google, I have seen legitimate news sites being hit by Google manual actions... as soon as it happens webmasters go through outbound links audit and prune bad links. I am not saying it can happen to BBC, but their webmasters can take precautionary action as they are certainly aware of current situation. Besides, they need to "invent" some routine tasks to justify their payroll :)

If you decide to buy it anyway, you should make your new site similar to the former one and make the landing page (from BBC link) appear exactly like it was when the link was created - check web.archive.org.
