How monetize dating websites?

    How do these sites make money?

    adbrite is used by that sort of industry, and affiliate programs etc :p

    subscriptions usually, however a lot are ad-supported too (myspace is an example, although more than just a dating site).

    Sometimes they even piggy-back other offers to make money.

    Take gay.com for example,

    When you sign up for a yearly membership at $89.95 you get subscriptions to several magazines, free video credit on partner sites etc. I wouldn't be suprised is the publishing company owns a significant piece of gay.com though.
