AC, the problem with writing a 'user guide' to install a dual boot system would require more work than I am willing to do. I am sure that if you visit this link http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&q=installing+linux+and+windows+dual+boot you will find all you need. That is why I have a business and charge to setup dual boots For me to write one would require the user to understand a thing or two about their current system and setup etc... Someone else has done the work for me above. Enjoy the dual boot.
So as I mentioned in my prior posts NC, it is not that easy (the so called free linux desktop download), it takes a lot of effort to get this "free linux desktop" and to set it up proper on a windows box. Like I told you before, when you are ready to start the thread on the subject, I have some stuff to contribute. But you damm well ain't getting paid unless you get some AS Rev share, so there you go man...... Thanks for the effort NC and the links.
haha, AC, I am so confused right now? Are you looking for tips on how to burn the software to disk? Tips on partitioning your hard drive? What bootloader to use to successfully boot into either OS? What are you looking for, spell it out man. The free linux desktop download 'IS' that easy. Follow the links I sent you, transfer the files to your desktop and burn to disk. And your right, it is not that easy to setup, but the last link I sent you will help. You are always trying to get everyone to do your research. I don't mind helping, but you do not get to be the lazy brother in the meantime. What are you talking about getting paid. People pay me all the time to help them with their set up and training. I don't enjoy the money as much as seeing people smile once they have achieved the goal. Granted, most people do a dual Windows OS, but the gratification is the same.
I gona tell my moma, that I got what you been doing to me NC. I did not ask you any of that stuff, I asked you to tell the forum how to download this wonderful free Linux destop OS that would replace windows? Maybe Scott McNeally has it? He just ain't telling anyone Real simple, where is it?
Well, now you've gone and done it. You have confused the hell out of me to the point where I give up.
What is so confusing about the statement NC? Can I go to download.com and download a free linux desktop OS to replace windows or not?
You know what AC, this will be my last reply to this thread. I previously pointed out three Linux desktops you could download and two places where to download them from. You can d/l two from the telusplanet url and one from the Knoppix site. You are on your own.
Thanks NC, you are alright, just don't expect a check anytime soon Your fired from this thread, you can't quit
