Maybe there is a thread about the new VB and DP somewhere, if so please point me to it. vBulletin 3.7 upgrade promises to have features that bring it close to being a social networking script. There are some inline spam fighting things and tag clouds too, but if those were wanted here, I suspect they would have been created. I am most curious to see how the friends and groups is implemented. I honestly don't visit here as much due to the flood of meaningless or under informed posts. Reading threads in a "people who actually have their shit together" group would be a draw for me. The public profiles become much more usable, with public messaging, friends etc. Also, how much of this is possible without greatly increasing the servers? Just interested in hearing others thought processes on this.
The new version of vBulletin seriously looks great. I especially like the custom CAPTCHA system however I have no idea about the upgrade here at DP, I think it would be good if the vB forums was powered by v 3.7.0 but that's upto Shawn. Meti

Blah!!! We already got one dead Gallery!!! We don't need more dead stuff!!!! Every one but the n00bies already know Shawn will upgrade, BUT I bet half those features will get turned off!
