How many hits per hour or day does a website need in order to get one of those google listings where all the popular pages are listed as a megas site?

You need the appropriate link structure on your website and you need plenty of backlinks to those pages. Then Google will list your sub pages directly under your listing.

    Search: vmoptions directory

You'll notice I need more links to some of my "important pages."

Now, take a look at my directory. Look how my pages have two links pointing towards my important pages. That helps. Try using footer links, as this is what Google looks for:

    MyPage | Mypage2 | MyPage 3

The most listings I have seen under the main domain is 8. If you go higher, you may find that Google drops an important one.

In summary - Single link your average pages, and double link your important ones. Then get backlinks for them.

This would be awesome for some generic words, but for oddball company names I doubt it has any real value (maybe just some clout among peers).

    OK that is good.
I am not sure I know how to do it yet but I will check out a few it work for and see if I can tweak a few internal links
A google site map is not enough then?
    Thanks

    @valley

I wrote a brief article on the topic of sitelinks. It may be more descriptive, so check it out at: http://www.vmoptions.com/articles/article-3.html

From what I have read and seen, it is the layout of your pages that allows Google to determine which links should be included in a Sitelink. However, it would not hurt to set a higher priority for those pages in your sitemap.xml file.

You would only have site links if your site was already trusted by google and consider as authority site.

I'd say brand searches has a lot more to do with gaining sitelinks than back-links alone.

Actually, you need more quality links rather than traffic if you want your site to be on top of SERPs.

    Hi!
Are you still aware of the easy steps to rank your site one? Here I would not squander your time. So, I plan to be apparent cut, to the point, and hop the "fluffy-stuff". Get page 1 returns on Google Search with in 48 hours which, in turn, will increase the exposure of your site and lead directly to more qualified traffic. Get more traffic to your sites of selection almost instantaneously. Get a page rank 9 site to have a one way link IN to your site. This is the right technique that works for your site, for your one-way-back links to your site in an hour! Such as Bum Marketing, your blogs, and even your Squidoo Lense. This works great in Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines, too. It is free, simple and highly effectual.:)

Hi Bill, that and your supporting article is really, really helpful.

I'll be working on implementing some of those ideas shortly...
