I heard a rumor that for every tag you add, you create a duplicate post of your original, essentially filling your website with duplicate content. Is this true? Seems ridiculous because the number of indexed pages my website has does not include the tags, so obviously Google doesn't index the duplicates anyway right? How many Wordpress tags should I add to a post? Is it bad to add over 100 tags to a post? Or does it just increase your chances of someone finding the post? The information on Google regarding tags is very confusing and misleading, I was hoping a member of authority here could clear this up for me.
Tags should be limited in a post, like say per post 3-4 tags are enough to use.. they must be your targeted keywords OR long tail keywords....
Thanks for posting, but you didn't mention why tags should be limited. Why would it be bad to have over 100 tags to a post? Any idea if tags create duplicate content?
Wtf? What kind of a response is that? "If not important do not use tag" what would you consider important? "If you should apply it" you just said not to use tags, so why would I ever apply it? "consider 4 max" why 4? do you have any reason? any proof? any evidence at all as to why 4 is the maximum?
