Weird question but I was having this debate with one of my female friends who just learned some self-defense for women. Now I've been training in martial arts for a while and told her not to have false expectations about the effectiveness of these moves... But if we consider normal people (not trained in fighting), how many women do you think it takes to take one guy down? I'd say about 3.. seeing there are considerable differences between a. strength b. fighting experience between male and female. What do you think?
don't underestimate the power and the ability of a woman...it can be a fair fight between a guy and only a woman
i wouldn't say that if i were you, thats discrimination and sexist, there are tons of female that are not "weak" like you think
One woman can defeat a guy in any sense but it usually depends on man and woman both that how much strong or weak they are
just one if I trained her and the other one is not a good martial arts guy ( doing martial arts for over 11 years now and got my blackbelt ) is't not about strengh it'S about technique and mental stengh. here is a fact that's true and prooved by quite a bunch of well known and good martial arts gurus: 90% of the fight are fought in your head
It depends on whether she is naked or not. Seriously though, I have done some self-defense training (I think that every woman should) and if she knows what she is doing, one woman can defeat a man.
You can't say anything . Everything depends on physic of the person . Many Women from villages can easily beat man of city .
You are foolish to assume that all women are helpless and incapable of defending themselves. A bit of martial art training and you are flat on your very male butt in seconds. My brother is a 2nd Dan Black Belt. He knows many, many ways to kill a person with his bare hands. In fact, if he were accosted he must, by law, warn the person that he has a black belt. If he injured a person without informing him he was a black belt, he could be legally charged - his hands are legal weapons. As you may know however, martial arts are not about killing people, but on how to defend yourself. There is no "I can kill you" mentality in it whatsoever. But it does give a ton of self confidence, obviously. So that said, yes, if you had defensive training it is irrelevant on your weight, size or gender. You can still defend yourself adequately against pretty much anything but a gun.
what are u talkin` about?? i`ve never seen a man defeating a woman...maybe, in movies!! but, in real-life...i`ve always intervened when a woman is fighting(physically) with a man!! though, in hindsight i doubt that was needed... i mean, would u wait for an answer(to this stupid question) when u see a fight between the opposite sex(es)??
It depends really......like others said there are so many factors involved. I am not going to mess with you then..
It should never have to come down to that in the first place. But since it does, women should have some sort of self defense training. Juuuust in case.
