Google reserves the right to terminate without notice any account that has not generated a sufficient number of valid clicks on or valid impressions of Ads (as measured by Google) for a period of two (2) months or more.
    --------------------------------------------

That is kinda scary, since they must make the big bucks from premium accounts then less and less from smaller adsesne members, the tons of sites that get hardly no traffic or impressions and clicks, are probably going to be eliminated since I was told it cost mega bucks just for all the storage etc on their servers for the database info.

If you can't meet their threshold, you shouldn't be using it anyway as you would never meet the $100 point.

I don't think storage cost is an issue, think about it, GMail.

Yeah that storage line sounds a little funny. I think perhaps from a branding standpoint it makes sense. Google Ads on various sites look pretty tacky lately and they are often associated with thousands of really cruddy, pointless sites. Perhaps they are hoping this will help raise the bar on their program and maybe even cut down a bit on the click fraud...

I'm wondering what the threshhold is though. Like for me, I don't make very much at all via their program... I run my ads on a pretty decent content site that gets so-so traffic, and for various reasons I don't focus on really maximizing and monetizing that program. I don't think I'm the kind of account they want to get rid of, but this threshhold idea just might do that. We'll see. Seems to leave things open for interpretation.

Reminds me of Hotmail when GMail didn't exist.

They used to terminate the accounts if a user din't check his email for two (2) months.

Don't they still do that? I thought they did, but I could be wrong.

That new TOS will just be so they can get rid of the kids pulling in single figures a month that are costing them more in bandwidth + cpu than they are making them. Or prople who have an account but are not using it.

    no need to panic :)

I don't make much with adsense right now, but I really plan to build a couple of good, content based sites. I hope they don't throw me out right before the partys going to start...:(

I wonder if this is a permanent ban from the network.
I guess you shouldnt sign up now before you have some decent traffic.

Ah what's everyone worrying about.. if you're actively making money, even as little as $5/month, I'm quite sure Google won't terminate the account.

This will be for accounts that have had little activity for months and would look to anyone like they're inactive, dead. No worries.

Thank you for that. Google is about making money and even if you are making $20 a month, they will keep your account active as they are making money on the interest.

The only people that have to "worry" are those that are making a $1 a day total on all your sites.

And if thats the case, you would be better selling that ad space directly anyway so who really cares.
