How many votes in favor of HostGator?

I am using dreamhost for past six months and service is pathetic and full of downtime.

I heard about hostgator on DP but before I give it a try I would like to see how many responses I get in favor of hostgator. I am afraid of taking any decision before hearing from guys with real experience of hostgator.

My sites hosted in Hostgatoor. I am satisfied with them....the most possitive things they have..extraordinary support.

 

Hostgator is ok.
I used it for about one month before I learned that hosting proxies was not allowed (silly me ). I would review their policies before buying... Uptime and speed was great though. Good luck!

 

I don't get it though. Their Hatchling plan, you can only have ONE domain?

 

had huge amount of downtimes with them and had to move servers after 6 weeks of very poor service.

 

Here is my personal experience:

I am on the Swamp Croc plan with well over 30 sites. Been on this plan for about 2 years now, I have had maybe 3 issue (small) in that time period and have had them all resolved in less than 24 hours. My sites (Where is the wood?!?!?!) have not been down at all in this time frame. (at least while I was awake .

I have tried switching some sites to other hosting for the reason of not having "all my eggs in one basket" but Hostgator, to me, has been hard to beat and I have switched all back eventually.

Obviously I would highly recommend them.

i am hostgator fans. and out of 7 hosting that i using currently, hostgator is the most outstanding, seem like the website never down with them. you can view my review blog with them. probably thanks to their 3 dns server at different location. highly availibility is their business

 

Hostgator is good but at the moment I would choose one of the other two webhosts in my sig. Hostgator had some downtime recently.
