I get about 100 visitors per day but hardly anyone clicks on adsense links. How many do you need to make it worthwhile?
A hundred visitors a day isn't very much. However there is no optimum number of visitors required to make money using Adsense. How much you make depends on your click thru rate (CTR), traffic levels, and quality of ads on your site. All these values are different for different sites. But with a click though rate of about 2.5% you should be making about $1-2 a day. But these values are based on average ad prices. Try various ad placements and focus on building a better site to draw in more traffic. The core of Adsense success is persistence. Keep at it!

The earnings per visitor/ click depend on your site's niche. However for my site, I get about 1 click thru per 100 pages (not visitors) and an average of 2 pages per visitor. It takes about 25 clicks a day before I tend to earn anything worthwhile - say $3 or more. So for me, I need more than about 1250 visitors a day for my monthly earnings to feel worthwhile.
You need to have a trade off between ctr and traffic i try to work a little on both. You can sometimes easily improve your click through rate but sometimes it can be more difficult and easier just to increase traffic to get more clicks. Generally when you have few visitors it will be more worth while to get more traffic before you worry about optimising your ctr.
you need to put your ads more visible and very well integrated in your site so users click them by mistake and you don't do anything illegal.
