My website is relatively new (about 3 months old) and the UVs are growing, and bounce rate isn't that bad either. It's a legal website using WordPress engine. My question would be, how many UVs are good enough to bring in some income? My goal isn't 100% money, but now that I see potential on my website, I thought that it might be a good time for me to plan ahead. Thank you for your reply!
First of all, how do you monetize your site? By adsense or other ppc program? Do you have any affiliate marketing? If you have adsense ads or similar ones, try to increase the targeted traffic which converts better. Placing the ads at right places will help to increase the ctr. More the number of targeted visitors, more would be the clicks; thus bringing in the much needed $$$.
Depends on the niche and how your monetizing... If you are promoting CPA Leads V.S. Sales: there may be a lower conversion rate for selling something then getting some one to fill in a few fields. You should always split test different monetization models and check the EPC on the cpa offers/sales
Like everyone said decide how you want to make money off your visitors if you're new to this which most likely you are ads are the way to go, while you might not make a living off it you still get a steady income. I wouldn't worry about until you get 500-1000 UV daily make sure your website is designed well and has good content first!
If you get around 300-600 UV/day that its good enough. You can sell product that have related with your website niche.
In order to earn good income from your site, you will have to keep working on increasing the targeted traffic. No one knows how much traffic is enough to earn good money. There are many factors that influence the amount of income from your site. For example, the conversion rate, Niche etc. Just try to increase organic traffic and your income will increase too.
