I don't think there is any benifit to them really. Unless the forum owner holds a "refer the most people in a month" competition or something.

I have 0 referrels. Although I told 2 people who joined but never had them say I referred them. I didnt really think it benefited either of us really. The fact that they joined and could contribute to the community was good enough to me.
