How many unique hits do your websites receive each day?

Really good point Donna. I'm in that exact spot myself. Unfortunatly my employers like to see the counters spin. They sell advertising on the web site so you need a high quantity of traffic balanced with high quality. I find it hard sometimes to almost run two seperate campaigns at the same time. One campaign for the thousands of surfers that want to buy and another campaign for the tens of thousands that want to look.

My network of site gets just over 1 million visits monthly...

 

man I wish I could get that, I ve tried submission sites, paid traffic, ads in the local newspaper, had my website url printed on Pens I hand out at fairs and carnivals, have done a lot of link exchanges, etc and my site(s) have been on the net since 2001, and I add new content all the time, yet I struggle to get 300 uniques a day.

My search engine traffic is currently as follows:
80% from MSN
10% from yahoo
5 % ask jeeves
5 % google (been sandboxed since the end of may)

 

For those of you averaging over 1000 uniques per day, how are you doing it? Lot of content? Is it just one site, or you have a group of sites?

That's such an impressive figure.

 

About 8500 per day on blazemp.com and 8000 per day on mystikmedia.com. 3500 per day on audiovideosoft.com (which is banned by Google currently). All the rest get about 1000 - 1500 per day.

 

my rugby forum gets a minimum 10,000 a day, depending on what day and what games are on etc. One day I am going to have to get around to placing some ads on there

I use traffic exchange to get some traffic. if I do not do the exchange, then I have no traffic at all. How you guys get some much traffic?

 

Stop losing your time. Such exchanges just bring people that probably never see your site. Write articles instead and distribute them to article directories for free quality traffic.

 

Thanks for the advice. I have got some subscription through this way, that's why I am still using this. But it is really time consuming. I am not good at writing articles, but I will try to do that.

 

work on the backlinks. Submit to any directories that you'd come across. Make your keyword listed in major search engines. I'd one websites that rank at #4 at MSN for one high competitive keyword. Some might say that get listed on MSN is easy but I don't care as long as I still get almost 100 visitors a day from MSN for a 2 weeks old site.

 

What is your average earnings per visitor ? Is it 0.01 USD ? 0.1 USD ? 0.5 USD ? 1 USD ? Mine is around 0.2 USD per visitor.

Don't sweat it if your not the greatest when it comes to writing articles. If you go to some of the free content sites you'll see that there are quite a few articles written by people who are marginally literate at best. In fact, that's one of the reasons why I decided to attempt it, myself. I write for my web site first, and foremost, then in hopes of acquiring additional traffic, I submit them to the article sites.

It's also refreshing to see I am not the only one around here "surfing for credits". lol
I do find it to be quite the mind numbing task.

 

I just started a new site this week, so far 50 uniques lol
starting to promote it more now so we'll see in a month

 

All my sites combined only command about 600 uniques of traffic daily which i'm looking to increase. My biggest site gets 500 uniques daily but doesn't make too much ($1-2.50 a day).
