    According to me, there are four kind of sitemaps.

    ROR Sitemap
    GEO Sitemap
    XML Sitmeap
    HTML Sitemap

    There are only main two types of sitemaps.
    1.HTML sitemaps and
    2.XML sitemaps.
    For generating this sitemaps you can use google sitemap generator.
    Other sitemaps are also there such as image sitemaps ,video sitemaps ,GEO sitemaps,news sitemaps, text sitemaps etc...

    Hello,I know all about there are 4 kinds of site maps - sitemap.xml,sitemap.html,ror.xml , urllist.txt .All site map should go in the following locations -
    www.domainname.com/sitemap.xml
    www.domainname.com/sitemap.html
    www.domainname.com/ror.xml
    www.domainname.com/urllist.txt

    I also saw someone answer about for GEO sitemap.I am hearing about a GEO sitemap for the 1st time.I do not it.Please make it clear to me someone.And also, how to create a GEO sitemap?

    I dont think sitemap stands for matters something according to the countries.

    There are two site maps:-
    1)HTML Sitemap which is created by the website developer and helps the users to access remote things in that site fastly.
    2) XML Sitemap which is created by SEO persons which help the robots of the search engine to easy access the site content.
    Both Sitemap helps in getting page rank.

    ROR format is not read by any major search engines (if you believe so, try find any official search engine help page documenting it) - they do however read RSS which ROR extends.

    Normally, people are using XML sitemap for url indexing and HTML sitemap for webpages.

    There are mainly two popular types of sitemap:
    1) XML Site map: It is an ordered format that a user doesn't need to see, but it defines the search engine about the pages in your web site, their relative importance to each one or each other, and how regularly they are updated.
    2) Html sitemap: These types of Sitemaps are designed for the user to help them to discover content on the page, and they don't have the need to incorporate each and every subpage. This helps visitors and bots to find pages on your web site.

    I was familiar two kinds of sitemaps XML and HTML but GEO sitemap is new for me. Can you tell me where we generate and submit this sitemap and also i want to make sitemap for video. If anybody will guide me i will be thankful to you.
