hey big brother, I have a site which is located in the 4th position of the first page of google, but I can only get not more than 10 IP, the Search Volume of the keyword is 12,000 which display in Google Keyword Tools with Exact match, is this normal？ I also wanna know how many traffic I can get from Google if my site is located in the 1st position of the first page, with the keyword which is 12,000 searchs in GKT?
i believed that the keyword is not long tails keyword. Google keyword tools is showing the result 12,000 search is including all the search that contain the keyword For example, they show that there are millions search per month on the keyword "game" but the truth is very less people are searching by only the word "game", internet user are mostly use keyword phrase such as "free online game", "best iphone game" etc. However, google keyword tools include all those keyword phrase "free online game", "best iphone game" etc into "game search volume too
Second - You have to make sure you are focused on selling high priced products in your market. The reason that you have to sell high priced products in your niche market is because you can make more money from the visitors that you are getting. In most cases you will make more profit selling $500 products than you will selling $50 products in your niche. You have to realize that the more expensive products that you sell, the more value you can give and the more people will be willing to spend to get the value that you are offering. You have to realize that by charging more money you will actually make a lot more bottom line profits even if you don't sell as many units of your products.
If you get the 1st position in google, you will get about 50% of total search traffic, as my experience.
Use different keyword for searching. Google ad word tool is use for searching and getting high ranked keyword.
once you get first possession in google first page you get you get more then 80% traffic. volume of traffic is also depend upon the keyword.
What lifeplayer is saying is very true. But you can use Market Samurai to check how many people would go to your site if you were on the number one position. Of course it's speculative. But still an estimate. If you don't have MS then just send me a pm with the keyword you use.
Not necessary you will get all the traffic, depends on country to country also because if your keyword ranked 1st place in usa google that doesn't mean you keyword remain the same in uk google.
