Though my question might sound abstract, what is the best practice in framing these key phrases on a web page?
it is not a big deal as long as your content is unique and quality. Make it natural is more important rather than focus on keyword density.
You have few answers but i think that no one was the perfetcly for your question...but whatever i know is that...there are only a few portion of any webpage in which you can farm the keywords like: Title Description Header tags Image attribute URl
you need to do little calculation, In my opinion you can go ahead with %5 keywords density in article, count whole words in article then little calculation and you will be there, that is a good practice
you can repeat the 2-3 times keywords phrase in the article. It Is very good method improve the ranking on keywords.
keyword/phrase density should not more than 3-6%. It means that if you have an article of 100 words, you should place 3-6 keyword/phrases
As it is mentioned by nichant0000 you should use initially your keywords in the following fields: Title, Meta descriotion, Headings (H1, H2, H3 etc), Image Alt and finally the content. Your title has to be no more than 60 characters. Your descritption no more than 160 characters. Do not exaggerate with headings. Use them to structure the page content. Then in the page content, use the keywords or other key phrases naturally.
Hi there is no exact answer for your question this depend on your web page content. If you want to know the market slandered then it must be 3 to 4 %. And as we are working for same we do not care we always try to do this according to content and try to provide the best to our user.
I think keyword density should be 2-3 %.Now its depend upon you,how much total words you are using in your content and how many times you are repeating particular keyword phrase.
Try to repeat your keywords once in the title, first para, middle para (use variations) and in summary use the exact term. Then in the meta tags (desc and keywords) also use ur targeted terms
