mmmm...unique seems to get the overall vote. Just about to experiment and submit 1 to 5000+. Hoping site will get penalised (pretty sure it won't) so I can use it on competitors. :)

I am not sure if this has been asked, but.. most article sites have a lot of content around your article, which is unique from directory to directory. Why wouldn't google count it as unique content? So many people use wikipedia content, etc on their pages and wikipedia doesn't get penalized.

Article marketing and Google's treatment of duplicate content is a complete mystery...even to Google. If you read their help blog they say they do not penalize for duplicate content. However, they then say that they are good at determining the original source of the content and will show that first. That's a pile because aggregator sites with high PR will out perform small site who has original content.

EzineArticles recommends you repurpose or rewrite existing content. Takes less time than creating new content. I guess that's another way to say spin.

Well here's a real life example. I used Unique Article Wizard which has a pretty slick system for creating spun articles. My articles were typically submitted to about 500 directories and blogs. When I first started I did an exact search for my author name and there were a little over 3000 results. Today there are over 8000 and the bulk of them are my articles. Each article has two anchor links. Know how many "external links" webmaster tools shows from those articles? 11!

So obviously I cancelled the subscription. But it raises a bigger question. Ezine sends me steady traffic and all the links I have in those articles are picked up by Google. Why then doesn't Google count the links from the other directories that I manually submit to not to mention the 500 that UAW sent to?

    Spinning articles will make your
article be unique again in a different way.
Then there you can start submitting your articles to different directories.
    Spin and Spin then submit.

Also one more thing comes here
    This is about Article directory

How about submitting to normal directory with same Anchor text again and again from different sites
Meaning How many times we can have same anchor text links coming from different sites, If we use same anchor text on different sites will it not be duplicate even though from different sites but pointing to one same site

To make it more natural, don't use the same anchor text for each directory. Use something similar and have almost the same meaning as your targeted keyword. For example, you are targeting "buy dvd", use variation like "purchase dvd", "get dvd", etc. This will make it natural for SE. Google is using Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI), so if you built a site about Microsoft, then Google would expect to find Bill Gates or Windows somewhere on the site and by using these variations in your anchor texts, you are helping the SE to figure out what your site is about.

SE will find it suspicious if you have a few hundred links with the same anchor text linking back to your site.

In Google, It just ignore your article content because of duplication. Thus, your SEO effort is wasted. Don't submit the same article to many directories. Instead submit different articles to each article directories.
