So combined both of your replies, SPIN-then-SUBMIT , Check for indexed directories while submitting

Well, I believe submitting to hundreds of article directories will not hurt your website, but it will just be a useless job done, because all the links will be treated as ones from duplicate content pages, and will be ignored, while a single link from all of those hundreds would only be treated as a valid backlink, so it's better to submit to up to top 10 directories or so I think... But many people here say you should submit to top 10 and then go and submit another unique article to the same top 10. The question arises here - would those new links count as new backlinks taking into mind that they are all from the same directories, just from other unique pages within it (i.e. every new article = new unique page within each directory)?

Most if not all the article spinning tools simply don't work. Manual rewriting is slow, but is the best way out.

Good post. Also make sure that you use the same name or pen name on your articles. Sites such as ezine articles will view your article as scrapped if they find the article you submitted to them under a different name elsewhere on the web.

Well there is a confusion , If we use same pen name it means we are knowingly submitting to more directories but yest I agree with you if post different i mean unique articles on different ezines then same pen name should be good, But do you think they really go and check elsewhere submitted or not ? Or its just google who checks

    Thanks nice list

That's awesome. That means all those news sites piping AP news through RSS feeds should be at the bottom of the SERPS.

It depends on the host's terms and conditions, some article directory accepts submissions already made elsewhere, some of article hosts want fresh un-submitted article as content. That should be somewhere in their T&C.

Wonder which Directories you consider the " good directories" ? I don't have a lot of experience sorting out which are the best.

I would say just submit you articles to few of the famous articles submission directories like ezine, goarticles and etc. It would be good enough. If you are thinking to submit to more, do change the content structure and wordings a bit so that they are not exactly duplicate content. Otherwise, Google SE will just ignore your content and your content will not ranked well in SE.

Correct. If you want to reap the benefits you need to keep it unique.

Make each article unique and you can submit to the same directories - but be judicious about how you do it, don't overdo it or your efforts will be wasted.
