I was watching "close to home" last night (dross) and the cops investigating a murder didn't decide to check the txt message log until after the case was already before the courts. D'oh. Started a conversation that down here in NZ we text alot because mobile calls are ridiculously expensive and texting is almost free. It's so ingrained that there have been cases of txt rage where students have sat on opposite sides of a movie theatre txt each other throughout the movie (complete with bleeps and ringtones) until another patron bopped them. You see a group of teens walking down the street, atleast one will be texting as they walk, often more. Sounds like I'm exaggerating, I'm not. Then you have parties that go overboard because people broadcast text the address to every moron they've ever had hit their phonebook. My 12 year old niece was getting texts constantly from her "boyfriend" and a work colleague txts me to pass on snippets of corporate shenanigans So, how normal is that - or is NZ the exception.
i'm a txt freak! when i leave the house to go to school, i log out of msn messenger and i get my msg's by txt on my mobile, so needless to say, i txt alot during the day!!
I answered i wouldn't know how... coz i really don't know how much text messages i send and receive.. i'm in an unlimited text mode that's why i keep on texting all day
I hate them, I only send them when I need to test a feature on my text message site (shameless plug) =D I don't get the concept, it seems easier to just call? Or am I missing something? lol I dunno, LOTSA people love their text messages, and it makes me a bit of cash so more power to sending text messages!
I used to send a lot of texts earlier, i remeber i sent around 22,000 messages in a month (Thats close to 733 messages per day or 30 messages per hour or 1 message every 2 minutes 24/7), all of them were ofcourse jokes and other forward stuff. I could send a message from scratch while driving (i.e. going into menu, creating a new message, typing it, choosing the name from address book, sending it, clearing the text and locking the kepad) But i do not send many messages now, forward some to my close friends if i find something truly hilarious or interesting or informing/asking friends about something important. Around 500-700 texts a month now for me.
whenever i get a text message, I just ring the person back lol. Im not very good at the whole 'texting' thing, and find it easyier to just call.
who cares to send people beyong that distance why not directly call them i send message when iam in malls with all chicks around
Its really interesting these days, when you switch on your bluetooth in malls or theater you would find atleast 20 people on your phone. But the irony is you never know if its a hot chick or a fat guy with big moustaches.
