How many text links in a post?

How many links would you put in one post or on one page of a website? I am going to start working on this tonight, and was looking for a rough idea to cut down on the learning curve.

    Thanks all.

It depends. What ever you do just don't make pages with continuous links or banners. I find that alot of free hosted sites put alot of banners on each page that are just stacked on top of each other. If you do this then your visitors will not stick around and even if they did you will most probably never make a sale.

When adding links to your site, don't cram it. Make sure there is also some good quality content on the page with the links in-between the content.

Thank you for the response. Right now I'm trying to put a banner at the bottom and around 3 text links in the post. I think it looks pretty good so far. I'm worried about what all the banners will look like on the main page though.

Try with a few links and analyze how they are performing. The tolerance to ads and the willingness to click on them will vary from site to site.

If you find that all of your links are yielding commissions, try adding more. Always keep an eye on how each link is performing - if nothing is happening after several thousand pages views, drop that link.

You shouldn't cram everything together as it will be unpleasant for your website visitors. It will repel many away. However, you should put a few in noticeable areas. You should put them where there is a call to action. this proves to be one of the best ways to get the link attractive. Hope this helps. PM me if you need any help :)

I would rather suggest to start either with one or two links. And then find out how much commission you are getting with those two links, if it's good then try adding more links.
