How many tags are not excessive in a blog post?

    Is it fine to use 10 tags for each post or should i reduce the number.
    Will Google penalize if i use excessive tags.

    Plz Help

    I don't think Google would penalize you for using 10 tags for each post. Though you should aim for general tags that cover a wide area.

    Yeah I agree, cant see any reason why Google would penalize. The only thing I try and watch for, is that they dont overlap needlessly of else if every post if tagged with the same thing, when people go to search through the tags, they will see the same posts over and over

    use follow, noindex meta tag on all your tags, otherwise your blog get penalty from google.

    Means you are asking the search engines to leave the tags aside by not indexing them. If put the links for indexing them, your blog looks like clusters of irrelevant keywords put to attract search engine traffic.
