My feed URL is the most visited URL on my blog. I have no clue who is reading it. Is it just spiders or real subscribers ? The stats for my feed don't appear in Google Analytics. Is tehre a way to set up filters to gain some knowledge about the feed stats ?
You can register with feedburner to have stats for your feed. But you'll need to create a new one or redirect the one you already have.
I guess it's spider, not real people. As Monty, you can use feedburner.com to see how many subscribers you have.
That's often the case, feedreaders will poll your feed at regular intervals to see if it's been updated (hence multiple hits). You can't track it in Analytics but as others have said use FeedBurner, it gives useful stats and you can also earn a bit of cash with it.
