Does anyone have a sense of how many Stumbles it takes to actually get some traffic directed to your site. In addition, how much of correlation between number of Stumbes and volume of visits is there. Now I obviously know that there are no exact numbers, that it going to depend on the topic, etc but I am just trying to get an order of magnitude idea. Thanks in advance.
it took me about 20 stumbles and a few weeks of waiting to start getting traffic... mind you my site is not viral in nature and won't appeal to everyone. I think it has more to do with WHO stumbles your site. People with more fans are better as those "fans" are more likely to view your site and stumble it in the process... increasing your total number of stumbles and so on...
It varies, it can take just three TOP stumblers to stumble your site and then your site goes viral. Basically when someone with powerful stumble account stumbled your page then your page stands a chance to go viral. Of course if you get stumbled by stumble account which is just made for stumble exchange and has fake friends then you may need tons of them before your site goes viral.

depends what kind of site is being stumbled. I remember I stumbled one of my articles and found it got over 100 visits the next day. My main site has probably gotten over 60 stumbles, and it gets bursts of stumbles from time to time. My blog may get episodes of hundreds of visits depending on the article I post.
You're supposed to Stumble! and keep visiting sites, make some friends, PhotoBlog by right clicking your mouse. Participate in everything as much as you can. In total i have received around 200 visitors to my profile. http://madinternet.stumbleupon.com/
When I stumble (and my friends do that, too) I am getting from 1000 to 10,000 visitors to my website. One is about house fashion and the other one is tech/IT. Does anyone know exactly what a powerful StumbleUpon account is? Many friends or someone that stumbles a lot? Alex
