I would say that making 300 - 500 sites are putting your eggs into one basket. OK! alot of sites are splitting your baskets up in a way, but if you are just making them for adsense, then what about if you got banned by Adsense one day.

I would say, the best thing is to make a few quality sites and keep building on them.

How many sites you can maintain depends a lot on the size of each site and the topic.

Some subjects are easy to put up a 5-10 page mini-site and just forget about it (something like gardening or dog training isn't going to change much over the years). Other topics may require constant updating so they don't become outdated (tech, sports, travel, etc.)

Just concentrate on building continuous traffic that you can handle and manage properly. That can be built on one website or 1000 websites.

Google pays you cause you have traffic, not because you have X number of websites. And even if Adsense doesnt works for you, there are alot of ways to moneytize your website and get money out of your traffic. So... concentrate on traffic more than Adsense.

I know of some people who made like 1000 websites around Adsense and now their entire account is Smart Priced. Their Earnings skyrocketed for some time but now have fallen to ground.

Only deploy quality websites, make sure you keep on adding more content to it and revisit the link partners and ask links from new potential link partners. Else, either your traffic will drop eventually, or your earnings will.

Quality websites ensure that you get regular traffic. Even if Adsense doesnt works for you, you can take advantage of the traffic, earn from affiliate tie ups and other ways to moneytize your website.

300-500 mini sites is very possible:

register 100 keyword rich .info domains to start (total cost = $200)
get a reseller hosting account somewhere cheap and relatively reliable (cost $10 per month)
find a way of quick generating decent content with good SEO

Its pretty easy to make each site make $0.50-$1 per day...and you are left with a ton of profit. If some sites aren't doing well, then don't pay the domain renewal fee in a years time.

A domain name only needs to make $0.02 per day to cover its cost.

i think you should get a hosting with unlimited subdomains. then create 10 articles for each subdomain site. at the main site install a web directory contains all your site would be nice :)

i'd prefer to have 1-5 big main domain site with less subdomains which have tons of returning visitors. with hundreds of subdomains sure it'll kill me getting links from free web directories :(

Anyone here with 50+ sites using adsense feeling the effects of smart pricing?
Just wondering if its worth having this many sites if we will be smart priced... Im not at the point where i can see the effects of this myself or if it really exists so Im interested in hearing about it.

Make 1 good site instead of 500 junk sites that are made for Adsense. Stop making sites for Money, make sites because you like the topic...

If they are, just make a 1 good site. You will benefit 3x more, so either way you are making money.
