Only way someone could have 100 sites is either they started building good sites back in 94 and never let up or they are mostly spam/crappy automated sites like proxy, BANS, scrapers, etc
not true at all, not all sites need to be based around lots of text articles. Ive have quality sites that dont need updating all that often. Developing ways to build links for many sites at once is a skill you have to learn though.
Running one website and doing it well is far better than having 100 sites that are just "there". However, when I say one should be focused it could mean that they only concentrate on blogs or some other theme. A person may have 25 blogs (paid, on their own domain, not free ones) about different topics but they all fall within one category. Personally, I own and operate one website because I think all my attention making one site the best it can be will in the long run be more profitable - for me and those who use it. On the internet, as well as in the "brick and mortar" world, you need to distinguish your business as unique - what are you doing that's different than your competitors. I own several domain names, either for future use or perhaps to sell at a later date.
But they usually aren't "real sites" becuase they have no real original content. Anyone can slap up a custom template they made themselves or paid someone to design and then pay for a bunch of links and call it a "Site". You can't make 100 legitimate sites unless they are junk or you been doing it for 15 years IMO.
Anyonebody that says one website is superior to multiple doesn't know what they are talking about. I don't care what any of those pimp blogs tell you. Its a load of B.S almost no one has ever gotten lucky on their first site and never had to make another site. They either had to make a bunch to LEARN how to be successful eventually for their first website or two OR they have to make a bunch to make decent money.
I have probably 21. I've registered about 3 in the past two weeks, and bought one off eBay. I really should build them all up, lol.
whatever takes your fancy! Ebay has so much quality content on there site doesnt it!? must make them a 'real site' eh?
you got a point. but they have thousands of active people generating the UNIQUE content for them doing auctions. Same things with a busy forum too. You have to either generate the content yourself or have many users do it for you. Its pretty hard building up a site where the users generate the content for you without doing it first to get the ball rolling. No one likes an empty or nearly empty site.
I'm just starting out and I have 3 sites, I find it really easy to manage all my sites though and I'm sure I could cope with a lot more.
i have a website www.jordantradezone.com mainly sell replica goods , and we are going to open a new website ,welcome come to our website and choose the cheap goods
I have over 100 domains, and about 30 developed sites, no blogs, well except a free one but thats not counted and I barely post on it anyways... I just buy domains when i think of something good...well good to me. Some I want to build on but just no real time. Some of the 30 sites I just let them be, and they get some traffic and make me some money, others do much better. oh and running 100 sites would be hard, I am thinking of hiring someone to work with, but havent found someone trustworthy yet...
It looks like out of about the 19 active sites I have running and fully developed, only about 6-8 are actually any good as far as traffic or earning money. The others make very little and some I don't plan on renewing their registration when it expires.
