I'm very new to this game and am really enjoying it. Its been 4 weeks and already I've got 2 sites set up. Neither has a great deal of traffic but I'm working on it :)

I'm keen to set up as many as possible and was wondering how many you guys had?

    TIA

Depends on the type of site. I for instance run a wiki, many blogs, a social networking site, a forum and many one page business sites. So just think about the amount of work and time you need in order to keep them up without risking losing quality. One page html sites are easy to set up and maintain, but the social network sites are a big headache, because too many people with too many problems at the same time can be challenging.

Good luck with your sites! : )

I own 1 site, and on that site my blog is hosted.

In the future I plan on expanding to more sites in more niches, but now I'm focusing on my main site.

1 is enough. Just concentrate on 1 site, carefully choose your niche area and make it the best you can.

It is very easy to just keep on creating new sites and web apps all the time by using generic website templates and social network clone applications and not get to the important parts - content creation, monetization and marketing.

When your site is making you good money month in month out now you can work on a second one.........Just my 2 cents

    Good luck with your enterprise!

I have 8 websites, 4 content sites and 4 one-page sites, plus many more blogs which tick along nicely.

As others have said, it's best to concentrate on 1 site initially and get it to the stage where it's making decent money before diversifying.

I'll stick with what I've got for now then and focus on marketing, marketing and a bit more marketing :)
