Please advice ...
Hi, All unlimited hosting plans do have limits within the Terms and Conditions - so we suggest you check Hostgators. However, we think you will find the limits will refer to cpu and bandwidth usage and not the number of domains on the plan. So check out their Terms or Service here - http://www.hostgator.com/tos/tos.php [sections 7 and 8] for the exact details. Good luck.
if you have all your websites under one account you also have a single point of failure in case something goes wrong. it's better to devide them around so there's less damage in case of disaster
As other posters have stated, it all depends on how much of the cpu they use. Most hosts only allow 10%, you'll be lucky to find 20% while still having fast loading sites. If theyre not overly active (high traffic sites), you should be fine on one account. What kind of disk space/ bandwidth are you looking for? (Don't say unlimited, no host will actually give you unlimited, its just a grab line they use)
If you have high traffic websites, I will advice you have a maximum of 3 websites per account. Don't fall into the trap of unlimited hosting. If you are having a high traffic website and you really want to be on a safe side better have one website per account. Experience thought me that.
When you say high traffic ,,,, what is the maxmum no of page view a day... How many sites with 5000 page view a day can i host on a shared hosting account ... say dreamhost or hostgator business plan ...
...I agree with z0c shouldn't have all your offers with 1 host because of the potential of problems that could arise .. diverse with everything marketing, traffic generation, ect. ect.. what I look for in a host is SUPPORT!
