I read an article on this a while back that was quite informative but can't seem to find it. Aside from that all I have is personal experience, so I'm hoping someone here has a link to some actual research or trustworthy data/statistics on this topic (I feel like Goog or YHOO posted in publicly but I can't recall). Anyway, the question (and I realize there will be some variance here based on which search engine it is, the quality of the title and the text that displays, etc., which is why I am looking for aggregate numbers): What percentage of searchers click: the first result? the second result? the third result? before replying that this depends on the title, etc., please remember that I am asking about averages for aggregate data here. Ideally we would have some info like 1000 searches for KEYWORD per day result in an average of 750 clicks to the first result, 400 to the second result, 300 to the third result, and so on (arbitrary numbers used here). Anyone have any useful info? thanks! kkibak
