    Tens of thousands. A better question would be, "How many good search engines are there, and which ones should I bother looking in to." :)

    In this case, you really only need to worry about the big ones.

    There are lots of search engines out there, but I would focus on all the major search engines whic are Google, Yahoo, MSN and ASK

    There is no way you'd ever manage to list all the search engines. Unless you enjoy having no life and not sleeping.

    Stick to the major ones and you'll be just fine.

    Are there that many though? I thought a number of them had different names but were using the same search index as they were owned by the same company?

    There can't be many search engines that have a database that crawls the world wide web... there's just too many websites out there now...

    I read your comments and i will still disagree.If i want to do the above mention.Let me do that.If i had listen to all the naysayers in my life.I would have not had invested in my own pc-pc phone service.Some times is best to follow your own goals.You guys might be 1,000% right.But i must follow my long and short terms goals.thax for any help
