Ok we hear it all the time. The money is in the list! I have an email list of over 11,500 people that I've built up since I started working online some 4+ years ago. I have people telling me I should be making at least 10k a month with this size of a list. Well guess what I'M NOT I use to do good with this list way back in the day when I was running a lot of offers and the list was "fresh" not years and years old. I stopped building the list about a year ago and since then have just blasted out a few emails a month promoting small products and programs. In doing so I'm lucky to earn a couple hundred bucks The math I did was simple 11,500 people. Say the product I promote converts at 1% I should do 115 sales? Ok lets cut that in half just for the heck of it so about 57 sales. Nope didn't even come close. I made 3 sales when I blasted out a clickbank product. So does this sound right? How many sales do you think I should be making?
You should be making decent sales if you're sending GREAT relevant offers and deals to your list. It sounds like maybe many of them aren't paying attention to your emails since you've not stayed in contact continuously or they already have more insight about your niche and don't need your advice or offers anymore. It's just like I still am signed up with newsletters and other optins from when I first started Internet marketing a few years back but I rarely pay attention to them or ever make a purchase from them either. IMO
