How many requests do you get a day after adding yourself to something like....

Linkmarket.net. (I know the figure will vary from person to person). Also, is there a possibilty that you end up getting lniks with lots of unrelated sites.

I have been submitting to directories and posted a few articles that have helped in getting links approaching 200 according to MSN (MSN shows the most) but my competitors have well over 10,000 each. I know my site is 2 months old and I will be getting more in the next few weeks as most directories take weeks to post sites. Is this the right pace of building links or should I already have many more?

I am trying to develop related links and will be sending a few emails to related sites, but this is such a slow process. I was wondering if Linkmarket will speed things up.

There is a GUARANTEE that you will get requests for such. You don't have to accept them. I recommend not accepting them.

In terms of how many requests the very next day? Completely variable. Within a week, though, you should be getting a lot, particularly if you have PR of 3 or above.

what i do is negotiate. for irrelevant sites i reject immediately. for relevant sites i try to ask if they can put me on another page instead. if they say no i'll see if they are worth linking to or not.

You could always limit who can request links from you. Pretty sure they alow you to do that with a paid membership.

I just signed up with linkmarket.net and I pay the $8.50 a month plus the $25 a year. In the first day I've been using it I've gotten 7 unrelated link exchange requests then I limited who could send me link exchange requests and I still get quite a few unrelated links a day. I did use the search engine function and I sent out quite a few link exchange requests to very relavent sites. However, most of them didn't respond right away.

I was thinking about trying linkmetro instead but the searches don't bring me back nearly as many relevant search results as link market. I think that since most of the people at linkmetro pay for the service they are probably more willing to exchange links than others. I would have signed up for linkmetro instead of linkmarket.net but I had trouble logging into my account and they took their sweet time helping me.

I'm also thinking about doing article submission's instead because that seems like the best way to get related links quickly but most of the links you get in articles (if you aren't that good) end up on someone's spammy article equalizer site so I am on the fence.

How well did article submission work for you?
