How many reciprical links?

I was thinking 20 reciprical links for each of my blogs that i have created.

Does that sound like a good number. I have heard anything over than 20 gets punished by search engines?

Or should i put like 400 recipricals lol.

 

10 One way back links = 200 Back Links.

It means that there's a lot of difference between actual back links and reciprocal back links.

 

try to get one way links rather than recip links whenever possible. and more the better. there is no number where you can stop. analyze your competition and see how many backlinks they have then go for more

 

For the reciprocal link, I suggest you put max 20 outbound links to your homepage. For the homepage, please make sure to avoid a site/ page which has page rank 0 (zero).

If you want to exchange link to hundreds of webamasters, you need to create special pages for the reciprocal links. Each page is max 25 links. For example:
yoursite.com/link1.html - max 25 links
yoursite.com/link2.html - max 25 links
yoursite.com/link3.html - max 25 links

 

One way links are far better than reciprocals.

 

Say i did that and ended up with 2000 backlinks all reciprical. Would my site be strong?

 

Not as strong as 2000 one way links

Link exchange can be effective if it's targeted at traffic, e.g. Anyway the number of reciprocal links should be minimal.

 

One way links are much powerfull so try to build one way links and reciprocal few and very relevant
