Not really. There are many people who post in just one forum at DP.

As I recall someone, probably a member here, mentioned a thread that led me to take a look. I didn't actively seek it out nor is there any organised effort to monitor external forums or get people to respond. You really need to see someone about that paranoid compulsive need to see everything as a conspiracy. Some editors like to give out first hand information on external forums to make sure people are not misled, and/or to balance discussions.
15 minutes a day on average checking external forums and posting a reply here or there is indicative of not having other interests in life? Other interests just might include stuff nothing whatsoever to do with the Internet. On the other hand you seem to spend a large part of your life trolling - is it just DMOZ or do you spread your nonsense around other subject matters?
I only think you troll because it is part of your duty of being a sleazy Adult webmaster with a chip on both shoulders and a badly wired peanut for a brain, you should be honest about it, instead of pretending to do it for the good of mankind. We're both entitled to our opinions. Thank you for yours.

My apologies for feeding the troll.

Exactly. I think the problem is gworld is focused only on being a webmaster, and has no concept about what it is to be a normal person.

Let's see - in the last 24 hour - besides spending all my time posting here -what else did I do.

Cleaned up all the leaves in my yard
Changed the snow tires on the car
    Repaired an electrical device
Converted a pair of pliers into a watch band adjusting tool
Took apart a watch band to adjust it's size
    Went to my kids birthday
Wrote a program to automatically generate pages of government form by hacking into an existing form and dynamically moving fields
    Updated several websites
Sold my final copy of a self-published book
Updated the index of a new book to be published in two weeks
    Created a new WSNlinks directory
    Edited in DMOZ
    Went to a wedding

Some of us just manage to do more in our time than others

First and foremost, I'm not sure why this thread was started:

    1. Someone who watched 12 Monkeys one too many times.
    2. Someone with a chip on their shoulder.
    3. Someone who wanted to start a useless thread, knowing it's a hotly debated issue to see how far it would go. (BTW - I have some emails about missing children who never really existed if you'd forward them to all your friends please)
    4. All of the above.

Second and finally ... ah, never mind, the sign at the entrance said, "Please don't feed the animals".

No offence to Shawn but I take my general chat posting elsewhere

Like I said. Nowhere is it asked of editors to defend DMOZ. Our desire to defend our hard work makes far more sense, might I add, than your persistance in trolling us about it. Think about that for a second.

I have a poor feeling about dmoz editors OVERALL.

This people do their monkey work and do it bad.

Generally they lack reprect towards webmasters.

They are lazy to death - and do not tell me that they have
much work to do, they DON'T

They are a bunch of loosers in my opinion which take a chance (the first and last chance in their life) to control some more successful ones - maybe they are feeling better because of this.

Generally, it's a bad idea to broadly assign poor traits to thousands of people based on your dealings with just a couple of them.

Life is better with an open mind. :)

Or, like that scene in the last Hannibal movie, where they cap the guys skull with him still alive ... sick, but funny.

Ya I know, ODP editors should never post in forums that have anything to do with ODP. That is just crazy I tell ya! That is rock solid undeniable proof that we get paid to do it.
