How many products do you promote at once?

    Hi

Just wondering. I have just started the affiliate marketing scene. Wondering how many products you promote at once. Do you go for a number of products or just concentrate on the one and push it hard?

    Thanks

    Pete

I do multiple products...actually multiple niches, that coincide with related products.

I prefer to go after an entire niche, like say "sewing machines" and promote all products and accessories related to sewing machines.

I would get bored only having one thing to promote at a time, I think that I am missing a sale by not offering the full gambit.

Also, it took me a while of promoting a lot of different products to see what didn't convert, or made too little money to decide what would work where, and what to concentrate on.

About a half a dozen products that are reasonably priced AND products that I feel are something I would buy for myself :)

I would say don't try to promote more than 2-3 products. Once you got making you sales on autopilot, then you can move onto more products.

    i agree with bla4ckmaN^...

get sales going on one product, move to the next, get sales going on that, move to the next ... keep growing ... but when sales start to slow on product number 1, go back to it and reinvigorate it ...

of course, this works for organic ... ppc you need to keep a much closer eye on things

If you are serious about your earning Go one Product at a time and don't move to next until you dominate it.

Everyone starts with one Product initially, Once you start getting some earning from one product you can always try out different products. The main motive is to make your Portfolio Diversified so that if a particular niche becomes saturated, your earning should not be affected much.

I have one main product and a few small ones on the side I promote. Its good to start out with one, and once you get that one making some money move on to your next one and just repeat until you feel you have what you can handle.

I'd concentrate on just a handful, maybe 3-5 max. More than that you'd be overwhelmed.

Start first with 3. Test to find the highest converting one, discard the other 2. Then ramp up the efforts. Once the sales is consistent, work on other niches and repeat with a set of 3 niches each time.
