Like most DP'ers, I think you haven't read previous posts and are making things up now.
    Yep. You're making things up.
Or you're talking to somebody else cause you're definitely not talking about anything I posted about.

I had impression that DP is now dominated by Indians. I am supprised to find that most of the recent threads are all entry-level SEO questions. That's strange for a forum with years of history. This would force the experienced SEO to leave this forum. Because reading those threads are just a waste of time for them.

The usermap (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/usermap.php) tells quite a different story.
The desire to be spoonfed is international though.

Why do you keep referring to the usermap when they are asleep? Ok, let's say the usermap is correct and almost all users are from the US/UK, how come this forum is full of spam? This forum really stinks, I'm just here because some people are still good.

The "Idiot thread" - bs SEO tactic
There are a couple of distinct SEO shops from New Delhi, Ahmedabad, and a couple of other cities that have established a habit of starting threads for SEO value only that are structured as follows:
Then the rest of their IDs pile into the thread and the all warm their hands by the fire of the keywords. Maybe they haven't figured out this forum is no-follow... But they're predictable, not bright. They build hundreds of IDs and as quickly as one is banned Or exposed another waiting in the wings is deployed.

Do a search on any webmaster forum for an ID with a username including "willss" and you'll see several permutations, usually "jesicawillss" is the starter, sometimes ellenwillss. The spelling varies, and there will be stacks of IDs with related IPs. Check the threads started. This is one easily identifiable member of this crowd, and you can verify the method I'm describing is fact, not some anti-India generalization. It's a goofy technique we call an "idiot thread"... But it is very popular in certain cities.

The fact that those guys create hundreds of IDs just gives the impression India is populated by retards. It is spam, but it comes from a LOT smaller number of keyboards than is apparent.

Sadly, there's also one or two "respected" members of the forum that show up in a search on the idiot thread starters IPs. They're the guys running the group. They employ the spammers.

    The answer...
When you see a question like that from someone with an SEO company or a client sig in their ID (ex: a guy in Chandigarh doesn't really own a brick and mortar biz in Toronto)... BAN them. Right then, right there, no mercy. Theres no need to waste time keeping professional idiot thread creators in a forum.

I don't understand what you're getting at here. Are you saying you agree with the impression that India is populated by re***ds? I mean they speak two languages and we are in an environment where most top level online business is done in English. Imagine if the internet originated in India and we had to adapt to their language, we would look like re***ds too even though we're not.

Your logic doesn't work. There are plenty of spammers from US/UK... In addition, it's also not a 1:1 ratio. If you had 100 random users from the US and 100 random users from India, Pakistan, Indonesia, China, etc. you certainly would end up with far more useless/spam posts from the non-English speaking countries.

According to Google Analytics, there is roughly 1 Indian user for 5 US users, but on average, that 1 Indian user will produce far more useless/spam posts than the 5 from the US. Which is why sometimes it *feels* like it's 90% Indians. If you have 100 people from [insert non-English speaking country here] each posting 100 gibberish posts and then have 1,000 users from the US who only post when they have something useful to say... it will feel that way.

I have nothing against Indians in general, only spammers or people who post gibberish (country of origin isn't taken into account when deleting posts/banning people). It just so happens that certain countries have a higher percent than others.

The reality is the larger a site gets, the more you get the idiots/spammers flooding in. Almost 100,000 accounts have been flat out deleted, about 16,530 more are banned, 360,000+ infractions have been given, over 1,000,000 posts have been deleted, we delete anywhere from 50-75 new accounts per day BEFORE they even have a chance to make their first post solely on the basis that we think they could *possibility* be a spammer or duplicate account.

Just because we don't report everything we do on the backend to you, it certainly doesn't mean nothing is being done. Some things are more obvious/visible (like making the site a nofollow site for links). In fact, statistically, I've been pretty happen with the chance (see this post), even though I knew the change was going to make some people piss and moan. Things we do are generally for the long term benefit of the site, if a few individual users don't like something we do but it benefits the site as a whole, well... we will lean towards benefiting the site.

BTW - the usermap is 100% accurate... it's visitors on the site whenever you look at it. In fact if you are really suspicious of it, the code it 100% viewable since we released the add-on for download: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=244236

Based on the balance of your post... clearly you don't, as you're trying to refute a point I didn't make.

Depends on what your definition of a "site rank" is. Overall the post quality would certainly go up. But we wouldn't rank as high for spam/useless posts.

Seriously... You're gonna argue this point with 2 IDs with the same first name from same town posting from same ip?

    That's just special.

As per your Question I dont find your question relevant.

In your Question you have asked how many posters are Indian ???

You are pointing at post which have grammar mistakes but u are indirectly stating that those post are made by Indians??

I am reporting this post to the Admin as I feel this Question is offensive against Indians.

I respect what digitalpoint says..not because he is the Forum admin or something.

But I still do not agree to the fact that "Geezer the Great" made a wrong comment on pointing on indians regarding the Grammar Mistakes etc..

You will find more Indians who have posted quality post and good articles also.

My Issue with this post was very simple I did not like Geezer the Great to point directly to Indians he could have used the Term like digitalpoint has used in his Above Answer "Non English Speaking Countries" etc... I hope you Understand what I actually mean :)

"Forgot to Mention I feel ashamed for members like Dhiraj who actually breaks the rule and still comment...I still say some may be spammers or law breakers like Dhiraj but not all :( "
    Happy Posting

If your hope is to display something akin to competence... Reporting a convo the admin and mods are already in won't exactly make an airtight case for your cause there junior. The world doesn't offer you a personal exemption from all offense, so put on some big boy pants and just grow the requisite skin thickness to deal with it.
