How many posters on here are Indian and/or SPAMMERS?

I've been reading this forum for years for useful SEO discussion but recently the number of posts written in horrible English that contribute absolutely NOTHING to the discussion and are pretty much just spam has gotten out of control.

Are the mods/admins going to start doing something to try and improve the actual quality of the content on this site or will it continue to decay? A direct result of cheap companies trying to outsource their SEO, or what?

    Thoughts?

I predict a dozen responses along these lines:

    Yes. You correct.

Bumping 5 year old threads is annoying too, I need to pay more attention to thread age before I click on it, seems every front page now has at least one 4 or 5 year old thread that has been bumped with a useless comment. I just saw a thread started in 2006 that some guy bumped to ask about the avatar of somebody who posted in the thread......5 years earlier.

I'm starting to wonder if I need to be moving to another webmaster forum. Quality information is getting hard to find.

    Nice troll face avatar btw.

Look I understand that foreign people have to make a living too and the SEO market has become largely outsourced as it's not really something that's completely "language-specific", but for Christ sake, clicking a thread that has a ton of replies and makes me think "oh, there must be some useful information in here" then seeing a bunch of junk, senseless, meaningless comments just grinds my gears I guess.

Digital Point's forums need their own Panda update imo

Yea I noticed the same thing. I've been getting half-ass responses to my questions on the forums that don't even answer my original question. What's the point of this? Are people trying to build up their profiles and build signatures for their personal websites for promotion? If so, that's just pathetic.

its all about getting the visitors and links. but they really don't get the real benefit of forum posting. which is a great mean of marketing.
    thanks

What would you like us to do, honey? Touch up the spelling and grammar on all those posts? Contact the user and give them daily english lessons?

You currently have 5 posts and not one them is reporting a post for being useless. If you don't like something then use the report button to let us know and we WILL take a look.

In the meantime don't go near p&r, reviews, movies, sports or games and you should be fine. Within these you will find quality content but there are lots of "one liners" too. They don't break forum rules but they don't add much either.

99% of the spammers on my forums are from India.... good way to get a low opinion of people from any country that does that.

You need to do better SEO. You're obviously not reaching many of the other spammers in the world if that small group of Indians makes up 99% of your forum's spam.

Nope; India is one of the low traffic areas for my sites relative to other countries. I have a very low opinion of people from India because of the this and tell them so in the ban message.

That's cool. I have a low opinion of people who associate the actions of a few people to an entire country.
