How may post per day should I be making. I know Google loves fresh content. But I do not want to over do it . Is there a general standard in how many post I can make per day? How many is too much for Google? The last thing I want to do is cause Google to block, band or demote my site. I have worked too hard to get what I have.
When the posts become boring, repetitive, or don't really offer any breaking news or fresh information, it's too much..and never mind Google, your readers will drop you like a bad habit. There are some sites that follow breaking news or things that change quickly like stocks and they post multiple times a day. I have seen others where you can tell that the webmaster is just stuffing content in because he really doesn't have anything useful to say and is just repeating stuff. Those suck.
Yeah, like hmansfield said when you start making crappy content. You can post 1000 articles a day, and if they all rock, then you will be popular in a week, but if they all suck, your site will still suck. They say content isn't king anymore, but it is still in the royal family. And you don't want your content pulling a hamlet and killing your site.
There is no point in adding content just for the sake of it, you should only do so if it adds value for your readers. If you have an abundance of content you can always create them to be posted in the future. If you really have that much you can probbly easily get a years content sorted and let it do its own thing; the only problem with this is it will not be timely / up to date.
You can post as many as possible from you but only condition is that they all needs to be unique else no meaning of number of posts/day. DON.
