How many plugins should I have on wordpress blog.

How many plugins should I have on wordpress blog. I have 19 plugins is it good or bad?
and I am getting images link in my rss feed what should I do?

Im not sure theres any reason to have 19 plugins - for any extra that you add there will be an overhead which will result in slowing your site down. Do you really need that many?

 

i only have 6 plugins installed. but if your wordpress blog slows down you could also use WP supercache plugin to improve its loading. add it up to your count.

 

19 wp-plugins u are using this is not an issue it depends which type of functionally are u looking for... .....if u are facing slow loading of websites use WP supercache plugin

 

Thanks for your responses and I tried to install WP-Super-Cache plugin but its not working after installing this I even can't see my wp login page then i removed it and not site is working fine. Any suggestions why its working like this. I have latest version of wordpress.

 

I've heard that anything more than 10 plugins and you are slowing down your server too much.

 

I agree with everyone here, avoid using too many plugins, especially if they are not necessarry, it will slow down our sites.

I have 16 plugins so far But i need them all..

 

Yes absolutely kimigermany, ya too many plugin gets down your site.

 

i use 20 plugin, but i need them all. If you can implement some of them via theme is better, some plugin are not suitable for this.

 

I started using wordpress recently, installed 3/4 plugins. Site is bit slow though not sure if this because of plugins.

 

If your host gives enough memory for your domain, then there's no problem with the no. of plugins installed. The more plugins you have, the more memory they eat up and some plugins can stop functioning due to lack of memory.

 

You should have as many plugins as it takes to get you to where you want to be.
