for me.. it's more than enough to know myself as a pakistani

I am not sure why every one keeps on saying his/her city heart of Pakistan Just consider yourselves Pakistanis and that's it. Am I wrong?

I am from Multan. I have seen very few Pakistanis here and this is because there is no web host in Pakistan and very few take interest in this field.

 

Angel eyes... hmmm.. does that ring a bell of someone from Hostbidder?

 

I'm not a pakistani but I do have much respect for anybody that is .

 

I will have to disagree with you that webhost is a problem. Most of the Pakistanis waste their time in Yahoo chat rooms, Orkut, hi5 and other time wasting stuff. This is a tragedy

I agree with you that people waste their time in chatting and other stuff but can you tell me that how many people have ever heard of web hosting in Pakistan or any web hosting company advertisement in Pakistan.

As most of the hosting companies are outside Pakistan, many people don't have a credit card to get their hosting.

Most don't have knowledge about these things. Almost all of my friends don't know any knowledge relating to webmaster world.

 

Chatting all day & night is like a hobby of Pakistani users. If someone has internet available, he/she will surely found chatting with someone.

Agreed! Though I've seen some progress in ISB and RWP as I've seen lots of advertisement lately. If you go through any of IT magazine in Pakistan you will come to know that many people know that.

As for as Pakistan's own webhosting company, Hosting companies need powerful Servers as well as good internet speed, which we lake. Compare the rates of broadband DSL with other countries (even India) and you will be amazed. Though PTCL has taken a revolutionary step in making DSL/Broadband more affordable but still we have way to go.

But be positive and work together and we could make this happen.

 

Offcourse we can make this happen but we have to clean our hearts. There should be some serious institutes from where guys can learn about Internet Marketing and stuff. Its a need. Pakistan has developed it Telecom sector too much and I can say our Telecom sector is one of the best all over the world. The thing now have to look at is Development of our IT sector.

I was reading newspaper today and there was a job vacancy looking for Internet Marketers.
