Hello, I would like your help to determine how many pages (ebook) a full time writer should write a day? Thx G
There are no rules to this, there is no "should." Professional or amateur, each writer writes with what he is comfortable with. There are times when several days can go by without any writing. There are days when a writer does nothing but research and soul searching. ... Especially copywriters.
Hi Perry, thx for your help, I will try to rephrase. I fully understand your points, I was trying to figure a number of pages ignoring all the above, for example, the writer is writing about an issue he know, he learned and researched for few days and even have written materials under his hands. (no copywriting, no fiction). I am trying to figure a bench mark that can be used to measure a writer capacity. Thx G
Like Perry said, there isn't really any answer to this question. Also, it is quality over quantity in the writing world- writers are not machines meant to spit out content. I'd prefer one excellently written page to ten pages of filler content.
I think you just want to be informed, something like more informative. Well, I consider a full time writer should be able to write at least 2500 words daily. I think writing more will compromise the quality. As for copywriters there is a different story...indeed a copywriter will research and think more, and write less.
I have heard of a children's author who wrote 10,000 words a day. For me personally, I think anything from 2000 to 4000 is average. But I don't write ebooks, so I would expect it to be a bit less - depending on what research you're doing and how many hours you spend on it.
