    hey guys,

recently I have been sending loads of visitors to a squeeze page and getting emails in exchange for a guide.

However only 40% of the people submitting their email actually confirm it.

Anyone else experience this? My thank you page does state that they need to check their email to confirm

Ensure your confirmation message is personalised and explains why. Make sure you use a good auto-responder so that it won't land in the spam can.

Used to have this issue as well. However I started explaining in detail how to subscribe to the email list. I actually started getting comments like, "Where the f* is your free manual!"

I assumed people knew how to subscribe to an email newsletter. However, the internet is still growing and there are still people out there who have never been marketed to (yeah I know, seems strange).

So, make sure you tell them they need confirm on your squeeze page, and once after they enter their email address.
