Your statement is putting emphasize on something that was never part of Christ teaching "money management". Jesus Christ did not need money!!! He materialized bread at whatever quantities He wanted. It is us ordinary human beings who need it. Going around in a church with a money offering plate is a blasphemy. The only thing that outraged Jesus to a great extent was exactly the "money" business at the Temple, and He kicked out the money changers out of it.
Jesus said about give "whatever belong to the government (Cesar), and what belongs to God", that's managing money. Judas was his treasurer, of course the money needed was for the poor people, not for himself.
Your knowledge is firm, and not open for discussion and change right? If you think everything you know is right, then there is no need for me to present you with another version of analysis of the above sentences. Because my reasoning will be different than yours. What are your thoughts?
Some of our opinions might differ. Of course, each of us would think each of our opinion is right. My beliefs about money used to be similar to yours, and I think I was wrong. Even Paul the apostle has to work as a tent-maker to fund his ministry. He could not just rely on other people's money. Money itself is not evil, it's the LOVE of money.
I am a Christian and proud of it. We need to be the Light in this world for others and we need to strive to be less finger pointing and whiners about others. Lead by example.
I am a Christian but not a regular church goer. Since I married a non-christian my church going slides down. But in Faith, I am a Christ believer. My faith still holds strong.
Do you think so? Well, you can google all those discourses, read bible and more (examples: Bhagavad Gita and Quran etc) online to help yourself. Point is, going or not going to temple on Sundays is guided by ones status of mind among other reasons. I, in my belief, think that you don't need a priest or a spiritual guru to enlighten you in a Church or any other place as your parents can transfer to you all those you expect. I am a Hindu brought up amongst Muslims in a Roman Catholic Missionary school.
Wait a minute... No questions about your being a Christian and also being proud about it as you can feel the same by being a Hindu or a Jew or a Budhist or a ... Yes! Yes... you got it now. When all those faiths make you proud... you guessed it right. I am going to say all faiths are equal. (sometimes the converse also gets proven true. right?)
