How many of you use php framework?

Hi,

i am wondering if how many of you php programmers here use frameworks like cakephp etc to develop applications.

Do companies like clip-share.com, myspace, wordpress uses framework when developing their software too? If so, which framework do they uses

 

Use symfony

As far as I know those examples do not use frameworks, wordpress definitely does not.

Most commercial apps like that use proprietary coding, especially if they are closed source. Wordpress is open source, but definitely uses proprietary coding.

 

I don't use any framework at all but if I had to select, I would select symfony.

But I really think that if you want to do something good, you should start alone from scratch.

Proprietary means it is someone's property, in this case, intellectual property.

I used to use zend framework.

 

develop your company website?, what is the url? i heard framework load slower, is that true?

 

I'm using CodeIgniter.
