how many of you use altavista???????

i never use the search function...
but i use the translate function very often!

 

I know the website, but I never used it...

 

I was using it in 90s, back then it was on top of the game. But then came the Google.

 

I used Altavista till Yahoo bought it.
Now i only use babelfish, and check for my sites ranking every once in a while.

Maybe 1 day we'll barely remember google. (Unless people has a nostalgic desire to search for spam )

altavista is the oldschool. Google is the one for me.

 

I used it in 1997-99 when I started surfing the web.

 

Google has become a standard... Only if Google can't find something, I turn to other search engines like Yahoo and Altavista.

 

I use it when searching mp3's it brings good result

 

Like you the last time I used it just for search was 5 - 6 years ago if it pops up in my logs as a natural search I will investigate other than that is is the big 3.

that's the thing that made most of the users use google - SEO, right

 

Hardly we can claim SEO to be our primary reason to start googling.

Google is much more powerful in all respects - that's all.

 

We use google and yahoo

 

Altavista was the first search engine I was told about in school.
Then I learned about Yahoo. And then I grew up. Not using any of them anymore. Just Google.

Well it seems that if someone starts a new thread of "How many of you use Google?" will get thousands of positive answers!
