I'm looking to startup a business which lets users pay a small fee monthly but given a variety of premium VB skins to download and use on there forums. How many of you would buy VB skins non-unique or pay a small monthly fee with entitles you to download multiple themes, which would you say was better? But the poll question is: How many of you would pay a small monthly fee for reall high quality VB skins? Thanks very much for your input. Jamie Hann
Honestly, I would rather buy a unique VB skin (or non-unique) ONCE (or twice) instead of paying a monthly fee to access many of them. If you think about the needs of the webmaster, they do not usually need access to so many skins unless they commonly work with VB or they have a network of sites that require these skins.
I completely agree on your opinion of not wanting to pay a monthly fee, I see most non-unique skins selling for about $20-$30 per license (or each domain the skin is on), but of course paying monthly would then make it cost more over that long period of time. But if you were to buy multiple skins that would already be $60-$90. I think quite a few forum owners change there skin every so often, even if it's once a year, would this still not be worth it? If this is the case and no-one would pay a monthly fee then there is completely no point in doing so, but what if the skins were a lot cheaper, quality of the skins still as high, would there be any popularity then? This is still a good market to be explored! Think about it: If you can offer the same price of a non-unique VB bulletin skin for your monthly membership, as a consumer I would think "Great deal! I can get the VB skin I wanted, plus the option of others." That would entice them into joining. Of course with any membership, they might even want to return (especially if you "wow" them with the quality skin designs). If they do return, you gain additional profit from this 1 person that just initially wanted one skin. Make sense?
Yes i will coz $$ is not a problem for me. My forum earning is good,so i will buy more skin to keep my forum look fresh
Thanks again for your input greatly apreciated, I'd certainly have to have more of a think about it hopefully more people will post here, or i could maybe offer a pay monthly fee and just one fee? This way people who have a network of forums could consider the monthly fee, where as people who are interested in just one skin can pay the one fee, what do you think?
