Nowadays everyone is getting into online advertising and marketing to earn a little extra cash, but how many of you do it as a primary source of income? And how realistic is it to try to succeed where you can live off it? For those of you who do this and make big money, I would be really interested in what you guys make in a month.
I have made money online.... Not enough to live on yet but I will not give up because I KNOW it is possible and I have met some people on-line that make $10,000-$160-000 a month. They key is DONT GIVE UP!! This is what I live by: If you want it bad enough and you learn everything you can then it will happen.
Internet Marketing is just like any other business. Some people make it work because they are determined to do so. Others try and give up when they realize it's not going to just fall in their lap.
I have been paying the rent with Adsense for the last couple years through some sites i made a few years ago that are pretty much on autopilot. The main reason why these sites have been somewhat successful is that i created them out of genuine interest in the topic and not to make money. If you want long term and reliable money i would focus on a quality content/service that will take time to make money through programs like Adsense. If you want fast money look into affiliate marketing and selling digital goods.
My friend is a professional pianist...So far his passion was music...When I told him about Internet marketing he laughed. After 5 mounths he earned 400$ due to his blog. Nowadays he earns much more...So people are strange when you're stranger... J.Morrison
I agree, I think you have to be a bit differant. I started a classified web site, but there was a million out there doing the same thing, why was my one better than the others? it was'nt. So now I am looking for somthing that is not there at the moment, ie not on the web, ( or not being done well) I have two ideas, but I will not rush into them, they will be done right. Then I say you could earn money from it.
A number of my friends have quit in the past couple of years to make money from niche websites and advertising. The money is definitely out there. You just need to study the internet for trends in blogs, design and SEO. Keep learning and eventually you'll start to see the light.
I think you've highlighted the most important point here. You have to be genuinely interested in the subject and if you have good business acumen you can make a fair amount from it. Most people create sites with the intent of making money, the site flops because they interest is short lived.
I make full money from this and it's enough for me in condition of wages of my country. And you can too if you never give up hope. And like above I am also agrred to that it is business same like other physical ones and can make huge amount with little investment if worked properly.. This sector is totally fair and only those will win who works best... In my opinion but I am not the winner till now but growing little by little.
I absolutely agree on doing a subject that you're very interested in. The subject I'm doing is something that I've been interested in since I was 5 years old. I don't mind working on it every day because it's something I like anyways. I more than likely would have quit trying if this topic wasn't a passion. I'm glad I didn't quit, though, because my website now makes enough money to pay rent.
I'm still young and I live with my parents, so my spendings are not high. But internet marketing is my primary source of money.
I think they key is to look at what doesnt exist. Start local. Could you make a local forum, business directory or something like that? Or do you do a sport that you could make a website about? Do you like TV programs, so you could make a fansite about a new program or one about to hit the air?
Im getting around $50 a month, i live in the UK so $50 pays for 8 pints of lager. Basically its not a lot of money. I need to really get another 0 on the of that to be able to subsidise my working life and then another 0 to fully support my lifestyle without working.
I agree with amedia, if you love the subject that you need to make money from it, then you will make money for sure.
I have a simple question for you guys. How much traffic do you need a day to start making real money from adsense?
Basically you don't want to depend on AdSense's per thousand views (eCPM I believe), my friend has per thousand views of about $11. However the amount you earn per click is quite a lot, let's just say if you manage about 200 clicks per month, you'll be earning easily $50-$100 (depending on what type of contextual ads are served)... Just my 2cents, I haven't really been using AdSense but I have read quite a sum... Do correct me if I am wrong here, people
I've been working on the internet stuff for a little over a year now, and I finally have started making a decent buck. Just under $4,000 last month. Made about $360 yesterday.
360/day = 10800 bucks not 4000. But if you're telling the truth what kind of site do you have and what do you make your money off of? Not adsenwe I assume.
