Tragedy: I had 100+ blogs at www.bloggers.com I Updated 5 of them yesterday night. And the next morning....SHOCK OF MY LIFE! All the blogs are gone. Vanished. Disappeared. Finished I dunno for what reason or how all the blogs disappeared. I checked with few friends, no one had any problem. I don't know why bloggers did that. Does someone has an idea about it? It's the saddest day of my life. I Started with blogging and made so many blogs, it was time for fruit to ripe. and then....huh! Can anyone help me in this regards. If u know anyway, i can get them back?
Many of my blogs had a good PR. do u think i shud make a new account at bloggers and take those url/blogs domain back????? why shud i lose that PR's to someone else. I guess b;log can be made again! But losing PR would be even a greater loss
I am just curious, why do you have so many accounts? I run a blog hosting site,(http://www.journalhome.com/), and one of the few, (rare), cases where I would close an account, (without warning), would be in case of excessive/blatant spam. Have you contacted them? FFMG
i'm sorry to hear it it's problem of any free services, unfortunately. i've never kept my blogs there, only on my own domain.
Why would you ever want to have 100 blogs? A lot of people complain about blogger deleting their blogs and generally these people have many blogs.
I have 5 blogs on blogger, never had such problems. Ya they probably considered you as SPAM, maybe you could have split your blogs on different accounts at least you would not have lose them all at the same time. Do you have any backup of your blog posts?
do you mean blogger.com? Google has a history of deleting multiple blogs without warning especially if your blogs are mostly splogs - not saying that you had yours as splogs - but google has auto-systems in place to identify them, it seems.
I've yet to meet the person who can maintain 100+ blogs with any level of quality. They probably flagged your blogs as spam and deleted them.
This is a multiple answer to all questions I have backup of all the blogs on a site. Sorted them all out. I was maintaining 20 of them, rest all were info blogs which never required frequent updation such as a tourism blog. In any case, few of my blogs had good PR which i was much worried about. So i made a new account and acquired those PR'ed Blogs again. so atleast i am safe from that loss. Yeh, 100+ blogs were providing me a good traffic to my sites, moreover, the incoming links would have been additional advantage. But alas I guess many of u r right. They considered few of my blogs as spam. But whenever such happened, they just locked my blog until i did an image verification and those blogs were back up again. But now imagine, how that dashboard used to look with 100+ blogs and how it does now. I was working at 2 a.m. on some blogs yesterday night. Today morning ar 8:30 a.m. when i checked my blogger a/c, it was empty. huh. I really hate bloggers for this attitude. But am glad i took a timely backup, just a week ago, on to a wordpress site thru the import thingie. That saved all the content. Now i have to organize that content which undoubtedly is going to be troublesome but i guess it was far better than what could have earned. So the morale of the story is that this could happen with anyone. Timely backup is must
i once lost a blog hosted at Blogger when i've tried to move it on my server :| anyway - I think at your blogs the problem was (as rubeina said) you made a bad move by making all 100 blogs on one user :-/ anyway... I think they have a limit, because... how many TRUE blogs can you have? Let's be serious :|
100 blogs on blogger.com is spam -- there isn't really any other way to describe that many, plus you are more concerned about the PR rather than anything else, which confirms the blogs were in place to inflate the backlinks on other sites = spam.
I think blogger is attacking users with many blogs “it makes senseâ€. I have a few blogs on blogger and never had any problem with them.
Anyway, guys, i get the picture. They considered it as SPAM. but in any case, i had the backup. I have got those domain back on which i had good PR, thru a different account. Can't make up the loss though. And it had to happen just before the google update. Damn1 My bad luck Anyway, the bottomline is that i have lost much than what i gained. however, it was a good lesson for me as well as others who make blogs, firstly, to keep few blogs under one a/c and secondly to have regular backups. Have a nice day
At least the url could be claimed. If it was for PR boosting, that you have got the URL back is reason enough to cheer up.
