I left my day job last year. Waited until I was making about twice my old salary before making the leap. Being on your own comes with many more expenses, like more taxes, your own health care, retirement savings, life insurance... Etc. But the rewards are fantastic. My wife and both work from home. We went to a going away lunch for an ex coworker lastweek at a game facility. After lunch everyone was complaining about having to go back to the office. My wife and I smiled and went to play more games for a few hours before heading home. ;-)
I left mine - have been providing SEO for a little more that 10 years. Hold 3 internet related patents, one that increases the revenue for any ad driven site. More on that after I understand the rule here. Steve
Still working, too many passionate people who's making money through passive ways in my company =P So it's a place for me to learn and earn + work and earn, haha
well, when i officially retire at 45 (3 1/2 years), I will be content. No mortgage, no debt, and a comfortable life right now. Then, I've always been making money. the day i graduated university, paid my student loans off, bought a car, built a house.
To me, earning from Adsense is just a supplement to my normal income. It is very risky to leave me regular job to spend more time and effort to Adsense. What if one day Google suddenly ban your account?
unfortunately the value of $600K would not be even worth $100K in 20 years. When you calculate money in amount of years always factor TIME. Also the Purchasing power parity, inflation and currency valuation will change the value completely.
hi, Also i am about to left my job in few month. and i want to promoting blogs and sites.we earn a lot of money by it rather than adsons. thanks.
I would never leave my day job for just adsense alone, can't have all my eggs in one basket. Diversify with some CPA/PPA from companies like Casale or CJ, build some real sites and do direct ad sales, maybe a little domaining. I'd like to be able to leave my day job in about 2 years (it's a ways off but I want to do it right).
I have wasted 4 years to get a bachelors in computer engineering, but now, I am doing work online and I havnt applied for any job. I wish I knew about online business a little early
Ive had relatives, friends, ex work friends spend 10's of thousands and 4-5 years going through university and never used their qualifications, i know of someone that went and studied psychology at Uni then was still suck working in a supermarket. For me Uni was never an appeal, the only people i want to have gone through university and become qualified are surgeons and other delicate jobs.
Hi. i never get involved in daily job because I never want to work for other people. Well, i focus on online earning in general, especially affiliate marketing, but not adsense.
