College was the biggest time and money sink I've ever been involved in. The only thing college did for me was teach me to write history papers. If I knew then what I know now, I'd never have wasted my time with a degree. There is nothing you can learn in college about what we do. You can learn everything you need to succeed right here on DP. If the professors knew anything they'd be doing what we do. They're more concerned about you writing a paper and what color monkey shit is...
Yes. I was in grad school until I got sick and had to withdraw for a semester. Then I turned my my attention to the internet and the rest is history.
Actually... I haven't quit my job since I got job related on internet marketing. But if someday I'm not working again, I will fully be netpreneur. I hope..
Adsense is only about 10% of my monthly earnings and CJ, Amazon and Clickbank make up the difference. I didn't leave my day job, I sold it as I was self employed.
I haven't yet since the earnings have large fluctuation margins, from low to high. But I seriously intend to. Hopefully I will find a way to stabilize it.
Wow, this is one of the oldest thread in adsense forum. I never work for a day job as I run my own companies from the start. Hope I don't have to do a day job.
i hope i could leave my day job after i can earn so up to $3000/month from affiliate, adsense, ebay, anything, after that, i will built my true business....both online and offline...
I'd like to see this thread revisited. I mean, all the people I know who say they're Internet gurus who make tons of cash online are still walking around in Old Navy threads and eating McDonalds. I'm just saying, is anyone balling? I doubt it. And if they are, they sure as heck aren't on Digital Point shooting the breeze with me.
My method is based on xfactors right, but I twist, and some research KW backlinking dude and it works! "The places for the children" was just an example not of my sites. And I use a modified version xfactor theme and it works great!
I have been in internet marketing for 6 years now. LOL I make more than my richest friend working short hours all online. While my mates are working 50 hours a week every week. Never enter the rat race... once your in it you cant get out. You will never become wealthy working for someone else.
It was the best decision I ever made - I am so much happier then I was when I worked for somebody else. I feel like I can actually do things in my life that will make a difference now I work online.
In my life, after university in 2000 I worked 8 months in a webhosting company, then I worked one month and a half to build a website for a small flower shop wanting to sell online and that's it. All the rest was freelance jobs and making money online. If we don't count the one month and a half because I could have done it freelance but I went to work on the company's computers for one month and a half, then it's been 10 years I haven't been exposed to the troubles of having a boss. It's about 6 or 7 years I stopped doing freelance jobs, so I also haven't been exposed to the trouble of having customers.
What didn't you know about? It would be nice if you backup your response or are you just posting to get signature link shown?
