E-bay or may be a separate one...

    Pls share your links here

Plus some words of wisdom as well - getting started and all... we are planing to have an online comp store soon. At first we would like to target it to our local market (within India) and see how it goes from there..

    Every input will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I have about 13 online stores.. It's one of the best and easiest things to start.. Since your starting off try Ecarter.com it's free to use and it offers you a great source of traffic.. There are also so many open source scripts one the internet.. get a really good host that supports PHP 5 and has phpmyadmin.. and you're on your way.. I love OPEN CART.. I haven't use it in awhile but it's a lot easier than using OScommerce.. which to me can be confusing..

How do you plan to bring traffic to your site? Link Backs? Banners? Where at? Don't spend time and money on something that won't make you money..

Anyway I wish you the best of luck with your online store.. trust me it can be adicting! Bye

I don't have an online store yet, but if I will ever start one I would want to only sell non tangible items due to the risk of chargebacks that I might incur.

Im starting 1 this week. Its using an old site i had. Im transferring it over from forums to a shop so hopefully it should do ok.
Ive tested a lot of different software over the weeks including:
Joomla virtuecart, OScommerce, Cubecart and zen cart. In the end ive gone for cubecart mainly down to the others lacking in 1 thing or another - not really because it stands out as the best but it wasnt lacking in any 1 thing where as the others all had flaws.

The problem with the Indian market is that people are still hesitant to be buy products online and instead prefer to visit a shop itself.

I use ZenCart for my online store. Well, it's my wife's store but I run the web portion for her.
    You can see here.
